S.O.T.D. Week 7 I Nov. 10 - 14
What up BLACKLABELLED NATION? Week 7 is over like the apartheid in South Africa, somebody shoulda told that to the 80 year old Neo-Nazi who was harrasing Budden lol. Watch the video again and look for Buddens' boy in the green sweater, he follows the old guy outside right before they cut the camera off hahaha. Poor old bastard. Mr. Jackson's album "Before I Self Destruct" has been pushed back to an '09 release date. He's currently on a world tour with the whole G-Unit squadron - Columbia, Johannesburg, and Chile as of late.

Just a notice to anybody who reads this shit, if you have any ideas for S.O.T.D comment and let me know. It's getting kinda dry and any input would be much appreciated.

This includes haters, HATE! HATE! HATE! BLACKLABELLED I'M GHOST!

80 year old man Vs. Joe Budden + 5

Joey Budden and the team in QUEBEC! Not a good look for Canada.

Just to set the record straight - Canada hates Quebec. They're their own breed.

But suppose God is black? What if we go to Heaven and we, all our lives, have treated the Negro as an inferior, and God is there, and we look up and He is not white? What then is our response? - Robert F. Kennedy

Whats fresh and hot?
I don't know whats banging anymore. Popularity often introduces fresh new music, but lately it's been offering a lot of stale hip hop. I'd say one of the very few track's I was feelin this year was 'Put on' with Jeezy and Kayne; I track I had recently found on an online radio site. I've been trying to find new artists to bang; I wasn't feelin Murs' or Q-Tip's new album all that much, two albums I had high hopes for considering the hype I've heard. Anyone notice T-Pain's autotune is getting pretty hefty? Lil Wayne played out last year, why is the public still coping his garbage, shoulda been a one hit wonder if you ask me. We all know Kayne West is going to dissappoint, seriously, and don't even put a front up for fifty, he needs to retire.

So what's left for hiphop, is basically what I'm getting at - a question supported by the declining popularity seen in the music charts. It seems as though mainstream artists such as Lupe, AZ, Nas, and Common are now underground artists, 2pac's legacy is getting played by DJ's, and B.I.G has faded except for the occassional blunt session. Eminem hasn't put out a decent track since the Eminem Show, Xzibit tried to play the politics card and got knocked, and Busta is all over the place. I got give props to Ludacris for holding down the streets still, while staying outta the hood and into the clubs. Hova? he's a hit or miss. Still, the veterans are dying, and we got no new comer's holding it down.

Either hiphop is dying, or its evolving and I'm not ready for the change. I'm slowly expanding the variety of genre's I listen to, probably a substitution for hiphop's weakest. But the hiphop I have been banging includes the veterans listed above, only the tracks are years old. The classics. My favorite mixtape lately has been a 3CD compilation of hiphop's classics. Am I going to be that 40 yr old guy who still listens to that music he remember's in his teens, or will I stay up on styles and go with the flow. I unno, but 96'-06' was the golden age for me, with 01' being the peak. Anyone remember when Dre was west coast, Nas was still beefing, Hova was on top of the world, Shady was back, Xzibit was an alcoholic, DMX wasn't a coke up prisoner, Busta and Nelly were clubbin hard, and most importantly, P Diddy was a bad boy, Soulja Boy was only 11, and no one had heard of the South yet. It was a golden era, bout time to let it go, or do we have a savorior coming?

S.O.T.D Week 6 I Nov. 3 - 6
Yep, week 6. Thr33 Ringz Edition. Overall, the album is more or less what you expect from T-Pain. I would of figure he'd have a lot more features from the "WE THE BEEEESSSTTTTT! WE MAKIN MOOOOVVIIIEEESSS!!!" Crew (Rick Ross, Plies, Ace Hood, Akon, Birdman, Wayne, etc). Congratulations are in order for President-Elect Barack Obama, props to America for doing the entire globe a favour. It's like anything in life - you have to at least give yourself a chance, right? Semester number one is winding down, I have written probably 5 essays in the last week and a half. It's bananas. College is heavy, I wonder what Uni is gonna be like? Just beat Gears of War 2 - INSANE! The game is hot shit. Dom, Marcus Fenix, Cole Train, Tai, and Baird (Delta Squad) tears that locust ass up! Hahahaha. BLACKLABELLED ENDORSES NOBODY! Stay tuned for Aesop Rock interview, I'm getting as tired as everyone else from lookin at Asher's mug.

MONDAY | Therapy - T-Pain Ft. Kanye West

TUESDAY | Reality Show - T-Pain Ft. Musiq Soulchild, Raheem DeVaughn, Jay Lyriq

WEDNESDAY | Long Lap Dance - T-Pain

FRIDAY | Distorted - T-Pain

So, should we call it the Black House now?
Well, congratulations to America and Obama. That's definitely some good stuff to hear. I hope his term is successful and he can contribute a step forward to improving America. It'd really help us out over here in Canada. Anyway, I posted up the Halloween Friday Night Fuck Up Show mixes in the downloads. Its Week04. Alot of you have been asking me to post those, so there they are. Enjoy.

The radio is down for a minute, I'll let you know when it's back online.

S.O.T.D Week 5 I Oct. 24 - 28

Cinqo semena, fuckers. Last week I decided to post songs that strictly featured both Juelz Santana and Lil Wayne; "I Can't Feel My Face" edition. What's going on with Dipset these days anyway? You got Cam'Ron who has been M.I.A since 2006, there's Byrdgang & Skullgang. I even heard Dame Dash is wanted by the feds for like a million in unpaid taxes. At least Juelz is making moves in the right direction, an album with Wayne is almost guaranteed platinum sales. Do you want to know what else I wish was guaranteed? Obama winning the election tomorrow. America - DONT FUCK THIS UP! Seriously, if you vote for McCain/Palin, don't come back to blacklabelled. We don't like your kind around these parts! I was in Buffalo last weekend for the Bills game and I overheard one of the Jets fans from New Jersey saying he wouldn't mind another holiday (as in Obama gets assinated). Straight ignorance. Week 6 is going to be the "Thr33 Ringz" edition. T-Pain's album leaked a couple weeks early and I have been bumpin it for a few days now, its your turn to feast. Enjoy - BLACKLABELLED.COM

MONDAY | Let's Pray - Juelz Santana Ft. Lil Wayne

RocNation

So, apparently Jay-Z signed Wayne to his label RocNation ending Wayne's tenure with Cash Money Records. The deal was reportedly worth $5 million... that's it? For the hottest rapper in the game? Mariah got $28 million in severance pay in 2002 from Virgin lol

As a side note, Wayne was booked to perform last night at a show in Boston with rap heavyweights T.I and Jay-Z. Unfortunately or fortunately for fans, Wayne wasn't able to make it to the stage so Hova filled in two 1 and 1 half hour hour sets.

Two reasons why I heard Weezy F. Baby didn't perform. The first is that he got frisked by security when he entered the venue and threw a tantrum, deciding to returning to his tour bus. The second is probably the more accurate, he was too fucked up on drugs (oxycotins, alcohol, amphetimines, weed) to perform.

Jay-Z is said to have put Wayne on "time-out" for his lack of responsibility and professionalism, by banning him from performing at tonights show at the Izod Theatre in Jersey.

UPDATE: Ok, so I guess whoever said Wayne was on punishment and wasn't performing last night at Izod was the one on Vicodin. Wayne ended up performing last night along with: D-Block, Ne-Yo, and Jay-Z. By the looks of things Wayne killed it.
